Dr Purton

After seeing Rob McHaffie's lovely pictures of his grandpa, it reminded me of some pictures i had taken of my grandpa (Joan's husband) in 2007 when i was staying with them. I was on a school placement in Bendigo.  He was outside in his shed working on a glider wing.  He was 91 when the photo's were taken.

This plane crashed but will be built again.

Grandpa's shed was dark and always smelt of linseed oil and wood.  It was the best hiding place when we would play hide n seek with our cousins.  When they moved to a smaller house, years ago, the shed also decreased in size but it still has that same smell and is just as ordered and well stocked with tools.
